Carl Jarvis, born April 13, 1935, passed away at his home in Quilcene, WA on March 18, 2025, at the age of 89 from Parkinson's. 

Born to Clyde and Elsie Jarvis who preceded him in death, Carl graduated from Ballard High School, attended Edison Tech, Shoreline Community College, and the University of Washington. 

Carl was employed as a Braille Teacher, Director of the Orientation and Training Center for the Department of Services for the Blind and as a Rehabilitation Teacher for the University of Washington, Independent Living Program. 

Carl was committed to and worked tirelessly for the education, equality, and independence for blind and visually impaired through the Washington Council of the Blind and the Jefferson County Council of the Blind. 

Carl is survived by his spouse, Cathy Jarvis, Sister Delores Stoeser, Daughter Jennifer Ford, Son James Jarvis, Daughter Renae Petersen, nieces, nephews and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
