Job Description:
The Senior Coordinator is responsible for managing client expectations and experiences as they relate to the applicable services and for serving as a subject matter expert to both internal and external clients. In an effort to ensure positive experiences for all clients, the Senior Coordinator will work closely with new clients and provide ongoing support to existing clients, promoting Clearinghouse best practices so that clients can utilize and maximize the value of the services. The Senior Coordinator will regularly engage with clients and manage escalated issues, creating client-specific solutions for unique challenges, as appropriate. The Senior Coordinator will resolve audit and compliance-related concerns and address accounts that do not meet compliance standards. The Senior Coordinator will also help to ensure service efficiencies by assessing current processes, identifying and proposing improvements, and performing testing of new enhancements.
Additionally, the Senior Coordinator will assist in developing and maintaining training materials that will be used to train team members on more complex processes. Upon training completion, the Senior Coordinator will aid in monitoring successful application of new material and provide assistance to junior team members when needed.
Currently, this is a remote-first position, and this position may be required to periodically work on-site at our office, and the frequency would depend on the department/division's requirements. Therefore, candidates must either reside within a reasonable distance to commute to our office or be willing to travel to our office in Herndon, when required.

- Educate clients on best practices, to maximize the value of the services.

- Competent in supporting Clearinghouse services, typically acquired after 3 years of experience in a service support department at the Clearinghouse. *
- Or equivalent experience in implementing software with external vendors/clients and driving timelines and providing functional direction.
- Proficiency with computer skills (e.g., for database, web applications, and email).
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (with a focus on Outlook and Excel).

The Specialist, Secondary Relationships Business Development is an integral member of the Relationship Management and Business Development team. In this role you will be responsible for promoting and expanding the use of the Clearinghouse's Learner Insights & Student Mobility services among various levels of personnel in secondary education institutions and outreach programs, to reach team goals. You will engage with potential clients via phone and video ensuring a smooth process from initial inquiry through contract signing. In this role you will also work collaboratively across the organization with various departments: Legal, Finance, Education Solutions, and Compliance & Operations. Some periodic travel up to 10% to conferences is a required part of this position.

Job Description:
The Senior Engineer, DevOps works as part of a team responsible for operating, maintaining, and automating cloud and local software deployments with a focus on security, reliability, and building new communication channels.

How You Contribute:

- Perform automated deployments for Clearinghouse's various environments while in parallel architecting the build, deployment, and release processes in accordance with the Clearinghouse's goals of implementing continuous integration and continuous deployment processes.
- Research and develop scripts and automation tools that will be used to build, integrate, and deploy software releases to various platforms.
- Install, set up, configure, and maintain the Clearinghouse's build and release management tools.
- Maximize efficiency within the SDLC through build and deployment automation while aiming for no downtime or outages during deployments to production.
- Work to minimize the number of releases that need to be rolled back due to errors in the deployment process and/or in the content of the deployment (such as incorrect libraries, jar/war files, etc.)
- Work with engineering, infrastructure, and operational teams to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and reliable.
- Review deployment and operational environments, i.e., execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack, expand monitoring capabilities, and manage technical operations.
- Design and build solutions that move data and applications from internal solutions to cloud-based solutions.

Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division prosecute a wide variety of federal crimes. Experience

Job Description:
Help lead NIB’s efforts to support, grow and transform the AbilityOne Program, along with any other efforts to expand employment for people who are blind. Provide leadership in cultivating understanding and support for NIB, its associated agencies and the AbilityOne Program from Congress, Federal Executive Branch Agencies, Consumer and/or other organizations also concerned with disability employment and federal procurement policy.

Supervision Required:
This position works at the direction of the Vice President, Public Policy and is expected to accomplish routine tasks with little supervision according to priorities established by supervisor.
Responsibilities for the Work of Others:
Directly responsible for the work of the Specialist, Public Policy. May provide indirect oversight of various office personnel or vendors.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Vice President, Public Policy to develop and enhance relationships with key committee staff and or personal office staff in the House and Senate overseeing federal programs and legislation of concern to NIB and work closely with outside Government Relations firm.
- Monitor and provide detailed analysis of issues pertaining to the AbilityOne program including, but not limited to, legislative activities in procurement policy, disability employment, vocational rehabilitation, wages, employment outcomes, and related issues.
- Monitor and influence relevant evolving legislative initiatives by participating in and articulating NIB’s positions at meetings, conferences and Task Forces and analyzing communications and work of other organizations (governmental and private) also working on disability employment matters.
- Represent NIB in its work with the Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities (CCD) and any similar coalitions.
- Write position papers, email alerts, articles, legislative alerts, and periodic updates for approval of the Vice President, Public Policy and dissemination according to organizational procedures.
- Manage the work of the Public Policy Specialist.
- Support the VP, Public Policy in helping to manage the spring Public Policy Forum/National Symposium and August Grassroots Forum.
- Support the VP, Public Policy, and other Public Policy staff in working directly with the NAEPB (especially its Public Policy Committee) and NIB associated NPA’s in coordinating grassroots efforts and advocacy on legislative and regulatory matters.

Qualifications:
Education Required
Bachelor's degree in political science or related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be acceptable.
Training and Specialized Knowledge Required
- Solid understanding of legislative and regulatory processes.
- Experience working with Members of Congress or other policy makers required.
- Familiarity with the Congressional Record, Federal Register, Congress.gov and other sources of information on federal procurement and disability employment; Internet and web-based research and monitoring tools.
- Experience researching, interpreting, and communicating about policy issues.
- Experience writing a variety of documents including, but not limited to, issue papers, congressional correspondence, and other letter format documents.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills.

Experience Required
Eight (8) plus years of relevant work experience and at least 6 years of relevant public policy experience. Experience working in agencies serving people who are blind with the AbilityOne Program is a plus. Solid foundation of understanding and applying philosophical underpinnings and legal complexities of employment for people who are blind. Someone who is blind is strongly preferred.
