Rideshare Guide Dog Denial Survey

The American Council of the Blind and our affiliate Guide Dog users, Inc. want to hear from you! We are conducting a survey to collect information from guide dog users who’ve been denied rides by rideshare drivers due to the presence of their guide dog. We will send the survey data to the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), per their recommendation, to draw attention to this frustrating civil rights violation and highlight the severity of this ongoing problem.

Quest Diagnostics Trial Begins November 1, 2022

On Tuesday, November 1, the trial of ACB’s litigation against nationwide phlebotomy lab Quest Diagnostics will begin at the federal courthouse in Los Angeles, California. We encourage any interested people to come and observe this important trial. The self-service kiosks at Quest Diagnostics’ Patient Service Centers are inaccessible to blind patients, and the Court will determine whether this lack of accessibility violates the Americans with Disabilities Act.
