ACB's Leadership Institute
Passing It On … Leaders Helping Leaders

How does an organization ensure a continuous stream of individuals ready to take on the responsibilities of leadership?  With this question in mind, the American Council of the Blind has created the Leadership Training Task Force to develop and disseminate programs that will give emerging leaders the tools they need to stand on the shoulders of the experienced experts within the organization and beyond.

The First Leadership Institute:  Phase One

On Friday, July 6, 2012, the inaugural one-day program will bring together approximately fifty potential leaders from across the country.  Participants will explore organizational fundamentals to better prepare themselves to contribute to their organizations and ready them for leadership roles. Click here for the agenda of this meeting.  There are plans to follow up with meeting participants on an ongoing basis to explore concerns and topics not covered during this initial session.

Regional Trainings:  Phase Two

There are longer term plans to conduct Leadership Institute programs on a regional basis in 2013.  Please visit this site to stay abreast of plans as they are developed by the Leadership Training Task Force.
